The Process

All vinyl dolls are painted using Genesis Heat Set Paints which means that they need to bake in the oven after every layer.

Your doll is then finished with a combination of matte and satin varnish to protect it from fading. I pay close attention to fingers and toes, which seem to lose paint first over time.

As a full-time artist, I strive to achieve realistic skin tones with each doll, using many different color washes and textured mediums. I truly want you to feel as if you have a real baby in your arms.

The hair is painted using different-sized script liners and is typically top rooted with high-quality mohair. I like painted hair much more than fully rooted since the hair always looks neat and styled.

Your doll is painted with close attention to detail. It is my hope that when you bring one of my dolls into your collection, you feel as if you own a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
